A must for gourmet connoisseurs & adventurers alike.

Have you seen the iconic image of the sunbathing kangaroo on the beach? That is Esperance. A one-and-a-half-hour flight, or eight-hour drive south-east from Perth, Esperance is the town where outback goldfields meet snow-white beaches. With bay after bay and cove after cove of pristine white sand and turquoise waters, Esperance really is a beach and nature lover’s paradise.

Located approximately 50 kilometres east of Esperance, Cape Le Grand National Park is the jewel in Esperance’s crown. Pristine and perfect are two words that reflect the absolute beauty of this park. The descent into Cape Le Grand is breathtaking as the expansive Lucky Bay materialises in front of you. At Lucky Bay, find an ocean coloured all imaginable shades of blue and sand so pure and fine it squeaks between your toes. The sand at Lucky Bay has twice been judged Australia’s whitest. Here, you will also see the extraordinary sight of kangaroos sunbathing on the beach.

The region’s flora is unique and diverse, and from August to October, Australia’s Golden Outback comes alive with over 1,200 varieties of wildflowers in full bloom. Many are not found anywhere else on Earth.

Those who like their active adventures will be spoiled for choice with the many hikes on offer. Of course, Frenchman Peak is a must. At the summit, you will have jaw-dropping views out over the southern islands in the Recherche Archipelago.

Whether looking for a luxury epicurean odyssey or a camping adventure to Esperance, go untamed in Western Australia.
