Day 1: Yoga Retreat from Adelaide
Leaving behind the city and the grind of daily life, we’ll wind our way along the coast to the Fleurieu Peninsula. Along the way, call in at local favourite Valley of Yore for morning tea and our first taste of the Fleurieu, before stopping to roam the secluded shores and pristine coast of Second Valley. By lunchtime, you’ll be wining and fine dining on the region’s best produce at the highly acclaimed Leonards Mill restaurant.
After lunch, check into your exclusive accommodation at Lapito House. Kick back in the historic but luxuriously appointed farm house. Or go-off grid with all the comforts in a glamping tent tucked on a private pocket of the property. The afternoon is dedicated to your first meditation workshop, but leave behind all of your preconceived notions of this therapeutic practice. Led by renowned teacher Sam Healy, unearth the truly transformative benefits of this mind-balancing practice through a simple and accessible workshop that cuts through the fluff often associated with meditation. Over three one and a half-hour afternoon sessions, Sam will empower you with the skills and tools to continue to recharge your soul long after you’ve arrived home. The day draws to a close with sunset drinks, charcuterie and a regionally-inspired dinner prepared by your guide.
Day 2: Yoga Retreat from Adelaide
Wake up with a vinyasa yoga flow and nourishing breakfast, then spend the morning immersed in the pristine environment of the Fleurieu Peninsula. Cast off in a sea kayak and float around the breathtaking coastline of Rapid Bay, discovering secluded bays and calm coves along the way. Around lunch, we’ll stop for a picnic on a beach framed by towering cliffs. Early afternoon is devoted to your total relaxation. Take your time to venture around the stunning grounds of Lapito House or book in for an optional massage or reiki session before commencing your second meditation session in a state of pure bliss.
After meditation, the second day of your wellness tour culminates in a three-hour Ayurvedic Cooking Class and dinner. Using wholesome local produce, including spices, seeds, legumes, leaves and roots, learn about the medicinal properties of these ingredients and how mindfully balancing and blending foods can aid digestion and enhance your overall wellbeing.
Day 3: Yoga Retreat from Adelaide
After completing your morning ritual of sunrise yoga and a nutritious breakfast, set out for Deep Creek Conservation Park for a day of nature-based therapy. Tucked on the tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula, where the bush meets the beach, this sanctuary is home to abundant wildlife, rare plant species and some of South Australia’s best beaches. Here, we will spend the day hiking and taking in secluded coves, hidden waterfalls and coastal vistas along the historic Heysen Trail. Lunch is courtesy of a gourmet picnic nestled somewhere in nature. This afternoon, you will have your final meditation workshop, where you’ll solidify your new-found skills to take a calmer, clearer mind back to your regular life.
This evening, meet inspirational Indigenous artist and educator David Booth from Imbala. Sing, dance and listen to story during this enlightening 1.5 hour cultural experience. After a fulfilling day, relax over a local produce dinner with your new found friends.
Day 4: Yoga Retreat from Adelaide
Stretch and completely relax for the day ahead during your morning yin yoga practice, refuel with breakfast featuring local produce, then pack up your bags. Today, we’ll spend the day getting better acquainted with the famed McLaren Vale wine. At Gemtree Wines, sample organic, biodynamic and vegan drops paired with a local produce plate overlooking the vines. Stop in at picturesque winery Down the Rabbit Hole for more tastings, a wholesome tapas-style lunch and dessert surrounded by vines and almond blossoms. Then explore their insta-famous double decker bus tasting room. Our final stops are Alpha Box & Dice and Olivers at Taranga for more wine tastings. Both offer vegan wines.
Cup and soul full, we make our way back to Adelaide, arriving around 4 pm.
