Day 1:
Leaving behind the city and the grind of daily life, we’ll wind our way along the coast to the Fleurieu Peninsula. First things first, unwind and connect with nature during a walk at Onkaparinga Gorge.
Take a short drive to Red Poles, a warm and welcoming destination restaurant and art gallery where innovative Head Chef Connor Bishop will surprise and delight you with his fun and exciting seasonal, regional produce menu. During the three-course long lunch, find your creative side when we are joined by a local artist for a fun, two-hour painting workshop. Use wine, ink, and coffee as the ‘paints’ and grapevine sticks as well as brushes to paint. Relax, paint, laugh and learn how art can improve your well-being.
Come 3 pm, arrive at your exclusive accommodation at Lapito House. Kick back in the historic but luxuriously appointed farmhouse, or go-off grid with all the comforts in a bell glamping tent tucked in a private pocket of the property.
This evening, meet the inspirational Indigenous artist and educator David Booth from Imbala. Sing, dance and listen to story during this enlightening 1.5 hour cultural experience. After a fulfilling day, relax over a local produce dinner with your new-found friends.
Day 2:
Wake up with a vinyasa yoga flow with local yogi Kate from Sol Yoga followed by a nourishing breakfast. First up today, we’ll stop at the iconic Willunga Farmers Market where you can pick up some local produce and treats to take home.
Next, immerse yourself in nature on a 1.5-hour self-guided kayaking experience at Myponga Reservoir. Glide around exploring the coves and inlets, spot abundant wildlife and breathe deep as you take it all in.
Grab lunch and a coffee at the homely and eclectic Valley of Yore before we talk a walk on a beach framed by towering cliffs. Once back at the retreat the afternoon is devoted to your total relaxation at the retreat. Take your time to venture around the stunning grounds of Lapito House or book in for an optional massage.
The second day of your wellness tour culminates in a three-hour cooking class and dinner with nutrition expert and cook Andrea Ball, aka The Green Gourmet. Using wholesome local produce, Andrea will provide you with deliciously satisfying new ways to nourish your body and mind so that you can rediscover the connection between food, health and joy.
Day 3:
This morning Kate will guide us on a meditation where you will unearth the truly transformative benefits of this mind-balancing practice. After breakfast, set out for Deep Creek Conservation Park for a day of nature-based therapy. Tucked on the tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula, where the bush meets the beach, this sanctuary is home to abundant wildlife, rare plant species and some of South Australia’s best beaches. Here, we will spend the day hiking and taking in secluded coves, hidden waterfalls and coastal vistas along the historic Heysen Trail. Today you’ll buy your own lunch and have some free time at one of the coastal towns we visit.
Once back at the retreat, Dinner will be prepared by your guide at the retreat.
Day 4:
Feeling like a new and improved version of yourself, stretch and completely relax for the day ahead during your morning yin yoga practice. After breakfast, it’s time to pack up your bags and say goodbye to Lapito House. Today we’ll get better acquainted with the famed McLaren Vale wine region.
It’s our last lunch together after all so we are going to make it a special one. Be greeted with a warm welcome and a glass of bubbles at the intimate family-owned cellar door, Hither & Yon. Meet co-owner and humble multi-award-winning winemaker Mal. Soak up the good vibes of this venue and Mal’s knowledge and passion for regenerative agriculture. Relax over a regional produce lunch and enjoy a stroll along the main street of historic and vibrant Willunga before heading to the final destination of the retreat.
Trailblazers in the biodynamic wine scene, Gemtree Wines also share our passion for regeneration and have planted more than 50,000 trees in a wetland beyond the vineyard. Hear their story and connect with nature on a short guided walk on the Gemtree Eco-Trail. Sample organic, biodynamic and vegan drops in their tasting room overlooking the vines.
Soul cup full, we make our way back to Adelaide, arriving around 4 pm.
