Adelaide Hills Wellness Escape: Day 1
Your wellness experience begins with a morning yoga flow surrounded by rolling vineyards, finding your inner zen with renowned local yogi Jen from Roaming Zen. Just down the road, lunch is served at Golding Wines, where Head Chef De Buys Nortier and his team will serve up beautifully crafted shared platters of seasonal produce, followed by a wine tasting. Life is about balance, after all.
Surrounded by so much natural inspiration, it’s little wonder the Adelaide Hills locals are also a creative bunch. After lunch, we tap into your inner artist during a Mandala art class. This meditative and therapeutic practice will help quieten your mind and awaken your senses as you create a beautiful masterpiece under the guidance of local artist Cathy Gray.
Your first wellness day culminates in a three-hour cooking class and dinner with nutrition expert and cook Andrea Ball, aka The Green Gourmet. Using wholesome local produce, Andrea will provide you with deliciously satisfying new ways to nourish your body and mind so that you can rediscover the connection between food, health and joy.
Adelaide Hills Wellness Escape: Day 2
Rise with the sun and roll out your yoga mat on the sprawling lawns of The Old Pear Farm. Your day begins stretching and awakening with an alfresco yoga practice set to the soundtrack of local birdlife. After a nutritious breakfast, your day is dedicated to nature and artisan produce. Cruising down leafy paths dappled in light on an electric e-bike, we’ll stop at farmgates and cellar doors to taste the region’s premium produce. Strawberry picking at Beerenberg farm and a wine and cheese flight at Shaw + Smith precede a gourmet picnic lunch perched above the vines at The Lane.
Bellies full, we’ll make our way back to our accommodation, where you will have some free time to relax and soak up the good vibes. After a gentle yin yoga flow in the late afternoon, watch the sunset over the hills with some local produce.
Adelaide Hills Wellness Escape: Day 3
After morning yoga and wholesome breakfast, After, wind deeper into the hills to the home of internationally-renowned natural skincare brand Jurlique. The Jurlique organic and biodynamic farm produces the nourishing ingredients used in their sought-after skincare range. See how the plants are grown and learn about the healing properties of many herbs and flowers. After a café lunch, wind down tree-lined country roads to Belair National Park for an immersive forest bathing experience. Surrounded by tranquil bushland, tame your soul and enliven your senses during a guided meditation followed by an afternoon tea of locally-sourced native teas and eco-friendly snacks. This marks the conclusion of your wellness retreat. After, we slowly mosey back into Adelaide with your soul cups overflowing.
