Day 1: Seafood Lovers Tour
A private vehicle will transfer you to Adelaide Airport to catch your short flight to Ceduna. Touching down in the Eyre Peninsula, your expert guide will greet you and give you an overview of what to expect for the next three days over lunch.
Then, a four-wheel driving adventure through undulating dunes to your own deserted beach heralds the start of your seafood safari. The vivid pink hues of Lake MacDonnell, world-famous swells of Cactus Beach and vast, deserted beaches of Point Sinclair offer endless photo opportunities. Pull up at Denial Bay, and try your hand crabbing for coveted blue swimmers to stow away for later. Come late afternoon, continue up the coast and check into your beachside spa villa with views over the ocean. Sit back as your guide regales local stories and prepares dinner featuring the day’s bounty. Sampling your seafood feast as the sun slips beyond the horizon, you’ll soon realise nothing compares to the satisfaction of tucking into a meal you’ve sourced yourself, especially when some of the best seafood in the world is on the menu.
Day 2: Seafood Lovers Tour
Wake to the gentle lull of waves lapping on the shore beyond your window and head out to your beachfront balcony for breakfast. Another seafood-filled day stretches out before you. Casting off aboard the 50ft sea vessel ‘Asherah’, the ultimate ocean-to-plate experience for seafood lovers awaits. Dive for fresh abalone from crystal-clear waters, pluck and shuck your own oysters, then cast a line off the back of the boat and try your luck snagging Australian salmon, all in time for lunch. The crew will put each component of your catch to good use with an array of canapés paired with a curated list of local wines. It doesn’t get much better than this. Back on the mainland, take a stroll along the beach and relax at your beachside accommodation before joining the locals for an evening meal at the Ceduna Hotel.
Day 3: Seafood Lovers Tour
Savour your final moments by the sea on an early morning beach walk or enjoy a sleep-in set to the soundtrack of the ocean as your breakfast is prepared on the foreshore. Your gourmet seafood safari continues today with a coveted oyster farm tour. Winding down the coast to the sleepy seaside village of Smoky Bay, cast off to SA Premium Oysters’ working oyster lease, learning about the world- renowned industry from the boat crew. Disembark onto the ocean-framed viewing platform, and pluck and shuck premium Pacific oysters straight from the ocean. Surrounded by the glassy waters of Smoky Bay and reflecting on the past few days with a plump oyster in hand, you’ll understand why the Eyre Peninsula has been dubbed the seafood frontier of Australia.
As the day draws to a close, make one last stop at a secret bay for afternoon tea featuring a selection of freshly baked pastries and sweet treats paired with local dessert wines. Your guide will drop you at Ceduna Airport to catch a 5.20 pm flight to Adelaide, with airport transfers having you back to your accommodation at around 7 pm.
